It suits homes, plots, apartments and businesses with no existing water source. Cost is charged per foot drilled, not as one fixed package, and a typical house borewell is usually finished within a day once the rig is set up.

Drilling in progress
The short version of what borewell drilling involves, before you read the full details below.
| Detail | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Typical Cost Range | Charged per foot of depth drilled, not as a fixed package — the total depends on depth, ground type and bore diameter. |
| Typical Duration | A standard house borewell is usually completed within a day once the rig is set up on site; hard rock or greater depth can extend this. |
| Best For | New plots, homes, and properties with no existing borewell or water source. |
| Machine Used | Lorry-mounted DTH drilling rig, or a compact robo rig where access is limited. |
| What's Included | Site check, drilling, casing pipe fitting, flushing, and a water flow check. |
| What's Extra | Pump and motor fitting, borewell permission fees, and rig transport charges depending on distance. |

Situations where borewell drilling — rather than reboring, cleaning, or pump work — is the right service.
You've bought land and there's no water connection or borewell on site yet.
Municipal supply or tanker water isn't enough to meet your daily household needs.
Construction has started and the site needs its own water source to continue work.
The property has never had a borewell — you're starting completely from scratch.
You want your own water source instead of depending only on tanker deliveries.
What actually happens on a borewell drilling job, from the first conversation to handover.
We understand your water need — house, plot, or ongoing construction — and roughly how much daily water use you expect.
We visit the site, check road and rig access, and mark a drilling spot away from existing structures and pipelines.
The drilling rig and compressor are positioned at the marked spot, with the working area cleared for operation.
Drilling moves through soil, weathered rock, and hard granite layers until a workable depth is reached.
Casing pipe is fitted into the upper section of the bore to stop loose soil from collapsing into the hole.
The bore is flushed to clear drilling debris, and water flow is checked before we consider the job done.
The borewell is capped, the site is cleared of cuttings, and the bore is handed over ready for pump fitting.
The right rig depends on your site's access and the ground it sits on.
Lorry-mounted DTH rig
For most plots, we use a lorry-mounted DTH (down-the-hole) rig. It drives a hammer bit using high-pressure air from an onboard compressor, which works well against the hard granite that sits under much of Hyderabad.
We don't quote a fixed number without seeing your site — here's what actually moves the cost.
Deeper drilling means more per-foot charges before the bore reaches a workable water level.
Soft soil drills faster; hard granite, common across Hyderabad, takes longer and costs more per foot.
A wider bore costs more per foot and may call for a larger pump once drilling is complete.
The casing pipe needed depends on how deep the loose soil layer runs at your specific site.
Narrow approach roads or longer distances from the main road can add to rig transport charges.
Borewell drilling conditions change across Hyderabad depending on the ground and the site itself. In areas with dense construction and narrow internal roads, getting a full-size rig close to the drilling spot can take extra planning, while open plots on the city's outskirts usually allow easier rig movement. Older residential colonies often have compound walls and tight gates that call for smaller equipment rather than a standard lorry-mounted rig. Newer developments and commercial layouts, on the other hand, tend to have wider access roads that make rig setup more straightforward.
We provide borewell drilling services across Hyderabad and surrounding areas.

We visit your site, check road and rig access, look at your compound layout, and consider the distance from existing structures and pipelines before marking a spot.
Cost depends mainly on how deep we drill, the ground type at your site, the bore diameter you choose, and how much casing pipe is needed. See our cost page for a full breakdown.
Most sites use a lorry-mounted DTH rig. For narrow lanes or tight compounds, we bring a compact robo rig instead.
Clear the working area, confirm rig access, arrange electricity if the site doesn't have it, and keep your property documents ready for permission.
Once the rig is set up, drilling for a typical house plot is usually completed within a day. Harder ground or a deeper bore can extend this.
Yes, groundwater drilling in Telangana needs permission. We explain what your property requires — see our borewell permission page for the details.
Tell us about your plot and we'll check road access, ground type, and what your site needs before any drilling starts. The site visit is free.
